About the ecotrail
The relic forest is beautiful with its majestic trees – Caucasian fir, oriental spruce, and beech. For hundreds of years, it has been home to a wide variety of animals, including roe deer, martens, and bats. Europe's smallest bird, the goldcrest, also lives in the relic forest. Bullfinches, crossbills, large mistle thrushes, and colorful siskins inhabit this altitude.
The eco-trail starts from the upper station of the Relic Forest cable car. There are no difficult climbs or descents, allowing you to comfortably enjoy the wilderness. There is a gazebo along the route where you can relax while listening to birdsong.
Highlights of the route:
- the tallest trees in Europe – Caucasian fir and oriental beech
- forest inhabitants
- mountain panoramas
- a gazebo for relaxation
When planning your route, we recommend considering your health and objectively assessing your physical capabilities.
