About the ecotrail
The nature trail winds through several altitudinal zones: through a mixed relict forest, across subalpine scrub, and out into alpine meadows. The trail’s highest point is Polyana 2200, where the resort’s main observation deck is located. From here, a breathtaking and spectacular 360° view unfolds. On a clear day, you can see the Caucasus Mountains, the village of Esto-Sadok, the Mzymta River valley, and the cirques of Mount Aibga from a bird’s-eye view.
The trail starts at Glade 1460, near the upper station of the “Vershina” cable car, and after a continuous ascent, ends at Glade 2200. The route is a loop and can be hiked in either direction.
Highlights of the route:
- subalpine scrub forest
- mountain forest and meadow communities
- sweeping panoramic views from the 360° observation deck
- mountain wildlife
When planning your hike, we recommend taking your health into account and objectively assessing your physical capabilities.
