About the ecotrail
From Polyana 2200, the ridge of Mount Aibga is clearly visible, along the northern part of which an ancient glacier formed three natural "amphitheaters." Geologists call these landforms "cirques," but the popular name "cirques" is more common. There are three of them within the Krasnaya Polyana Resort.
A nature trail leads from Polyana 2200 to one of the valleys—Cirque 2. The route allows you to get a closer look at the geology of Aibga, one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the Krasnaya Polyana area, examine rock fragments, and enjoy panoramic views.
The eco-trail begins at Polyana 2200, near the upper station of the Vershina cable car, and descends quite steeply down the rocky slopes of the cirque.
