About the ecotrail
The eco-trail to the Sedoma Pass winds through rocky massifs and alpine meadows, ascending to the ridge of Mount Aibga and crossing the slopes of the Cirque-3 mountain ridge. Depending on the season, part of the route passes through snowfields, which can persist year-round.
The largest birds in the Caucasus—griffon vultures and black vultures—live here. Graceful Caucasian chamois, the main symbol of the Krasnaya Polyana Resort, can be seen on the slopes.
Highlights of the route:
- the highest point of the Krasnaya Polyana Resort—the Black Pyramid (+2,375 m)
- mountain panoramas
- plants endemic to the Western Caucasus
- chance of seeing highland inhabitants
When planning your route, we recommend considering your health and objectively assessing your physical capabilities.
